Sometime late last week the background job manager (Sidekiq) that is responsible for things like sending email notifications became paused. While it was paused no background jobs were completed and no emails sent, including account activation emails.
I have restarted the job manager and jobs are now being completed. This means that outbound email is working again. It also means you likely have received some not-so-timely messages all at once.
Those you who were waiting on emails to activate your accounts should have received those emails now. For a few of these new accounts, I forced activation before I restarted the job manager. If you click on an activation link and see this message:
That’s okay, it means your account is active and you should be able to just sign in with your chosen authentication method.
